The NSW ECMO Retrieval Serivce was established in May 2009. St Vincent's Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital were proud to present the inaguaral "NSW ECMO lecture series" on Saturday the 14th of November, 2009. The aim of these lectures were to provide education and support for the clinical users of the NSW ECMO retrieval service and to expand the knowledge of ECMO, ultimately benefiting the patients.

On 20th of November, 2010 , the ANZ ECMO Practice Update at RPAH was a great success and expanded the knowledge with speakers from Queensland and New Zealand.
